Abstract
A letter to the publisher Mark H. Newman in which Edward Hitchcock talks about business related to his book, "Elementary Geology." Hitchcock expresses his frustration with Newman for his lack of communication and his failure to work on updating the text for a new edition. Hitchcock also discusses the subject of unpaid royalties for the book. He claims he still believes in Newman's integrity unless Newman does not answer this letter either.
