Abstract | Chapter 3 of the story "The Young Sailor of Deer Lake." This chapter begins with the end of a conflict between the Deer Lake boys and the Berryville boys. The character Ethan Allen drives, the Deer Lake boys bake and the conflict ends in a truce as the Deer Lake boys walk away waving the white flag. After the conflict has ended, the boys and girls celebrate with a picnic. It is decided to make crowns out of leaves and crown a king and queen. Ethan Allen is crowned king and Bessie Thornwood queen. The creator left spaces for illustrations but there are no illustrations present. The complete book is not present. It is unclear which of the Nelson brothers is the author. |
