Abstract
A sermon by Edward Hitchcock discussing the topic of Jesus Christ's death and the redemption he brought to mankind. Hitchcock details how Christ's death could provide redemption for sinners, and also argues against the idea that since Christ died all sinners should be saved whether they believe or not. Luke 2:10-11 is quoted. Hitchcock has noted the dates and locations where he delivered the sermon as well as Bible chapters and hymns related to the sermon on the first page.
