Abstract | Two sermons by Edward Hitchcock discussing the fifth chapter of Romans. In the first sermon, "Exposition of 5th Chapter of Romans," Hitchcock quotes several verses of the fifth chapter of Romans and discusses Paul's writing that Christians can be assured of their hope in salvation. In the second sermon, "Inferences from Romans 5th," Hitchcock discusses the effects of true religion upon the human mind and soul. Hitchcock has noted the date and location where he delivered these sermons as well as Bible chapters and hymns related to the sermon on the first page. |
