Abstract | Orra White [Hitchcock's] mathematics notebook. The first page bears the date December 20, 1810 and a note written in pencil indicates that Orra was 14 years old. The notebook contains explanations and exercises relating to logarithms, chronological calculations and the calculations of eclipses. At the end of the notebook is a section titled, "Eloquence," containing excerpts from a speech made by John Philpot Curran reacting to a trial of an adulterer. |
