Abstract | A letter in which Benjamin Silliman thanks Edward Hitchcock for sending a box of minerals and praises Hitchcock's work with some geological maps and dissertation, and asks Hitchcock's permission to have them deposited with the Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences with the hope of having them published. Silliman also mentions the development of a new scientific journal consisiting soley of pieces by American authors. |
