Abstract | A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benajmin Silliman describes corrections made to a geological map of a section of Connecticut drawn by Edward and Orra White Hitchcock. The corrections were made by Silliman and Dr. James G. Percival. The map, done in watercolor and ink, is enclosed with the letter and contains a note with instructions from Hitchcock on one side, along with a brief note and sketch in response, also in watercolor and ink, by Percival. |
Physical Description | 1 item (4 pages) + 1 map, The first page of the letter contains two small holes with minor loss of text. The top and bottom of the final page of the letter, which contains the mailing address, are missing. |
