Abstract | Letter from Jeffery Amherst to Charles Jenkinson, First Secretary to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, from New York, dated August 13, 1763. Amherst describes an on-going dispute with Crown Contractors and their Agents over the purchase of provisions and supplies for the regiments under his command. Amherst promises to keep the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury informed of the market price and quantity of supplies that he purchases. |
