Abstract | An appendix to Edward Hitchcock's "Supplement to the Ichnology of New England" by Edward Hitchcock, Jr. This appendix disusses bones described on the 187th page of Hitchcock's report on the Ichnology of New England. Hitchcock, Jr. explains the interpretations of Professor Richard Owen (from the British Museum in London) and Professor Jeffries Wyman regarding the bones and what name should be given to the species. According to Hitchcock Jr., the suggested species name is Megadactylus Polyzelus. |
