Title | Photographs of library instruction in Robert Frost Library, 1989 February |
Dates | 1989-02 |
Abstract | Photographs of two people receiving instruction from librarian Margaret Groesbeck in the use of the college's first online public access catalog (known then as online card catalog) in Robert Frost Library. Scenes include the three sitting at a computer on the first floor of the library. On the desk is a sign cautioning patrons that books cannot yet be checked out through the online system and that only 85% of the collection is listed in the online catalog. The circulation desk, bookshelves, the balcony, microfilm readers, other library patrons, and workstations can be seen in the background. These photographs are assumed to have been taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications). Frank Ward was the College Photographer from 1984-2005. |
