Abstract | A pamphlet of the laws of Amherst Academy for students which includes articles regarding the following: admission; devotional exercises; instruction and examinations; damages and repairs, price of tuition; misdemeanors, crimes, and punishments. An unattributed handwritten note in pencil on the first page indicates that this copy was for John L. Alexander, a student of Amherst Academy. Alexander's signature can be seen below the section on admission in the pamphlet, signifying that he promises to observe all the laws and regulations made by the government for the students of the academy. |
