Abstract | A pamphlet containing a compilation of statements regarding the Legislator George Grennell and his views on the debate over the petition to incorporate Amherst College. Statements included were written at various dates from December 16-20, 1824 and are attributed to various authors: E. Alvord, R.E. Newomb, Horatio G. Newcomb, J.A. Saxton, David Wright, and Hancock. The contributors write regarding their conversations with Grennell about the petition for charter, how Grennell might vote on the matter, whether or not Grennell would run against Mr. Allen as a candidate for Congress, and Grennell's opinions on the general ticket system. A conclusion is provided by Hancock. |
