Abstract | Edward D. Bangs, Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth, letter to James Fowler in which Bangs notifies Fowler that per an order of the Senate and the House of Representatives on the 8th of this month, Fowler has been chosen in the manner prescribed in the Amherst College charter as a Trustee to supply one of the vacancies occasioned by the deaths of William Gray and Elisha Billings. An unattributed note on the addressed portion of the letter states "Certificate of Trusteeship in Amherst College." |
