Abstract | Photographs of the 145th Commencement ceremony held on June 3, 1966. Photographed are students, faculty, and honorary degree awardees in academic regalia, the ceremony marshals, and members of the audience. The ceremony takes place in the Alumni Gymnasium and Athletic Complex Quadrangle. Also included are photographs of anti-Vietnam War protestors at the ceremony holding signs in promotion of peace and against Robert Strange McNamara, an honorary degree awardee at the ceremony. Individuals identified in photographs include Calvin Hastings Plimpton, John F. Boyle, and Robert McNamara. These photographs are assumed to have been taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications). |
