Abstract
A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Douglas Silliman (Benjamin Silliman's nephew) apologizes for his delay in fulfilling requests made by Hitchcock, and also offers his services to Hitchcock for the future. Silliman also explains the delay in forwarding some articles and casks from Mr. George[?] Chilton, and notes that Mr. Shelton has finished some apparatus for Hitchcock that is currently in Sylvester Hovey's possession.
