Abstract
A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Silliman tells Hitchcock that he is glad Hitchcock's omission of Silliman's name in "Religion of Geology" was unintentional. Silliman said they can continue to consider themselves friends, and apologizes for writing to Hitchcock only sporadically in recent years.
