Abstract
Photographs of a Gulf War protest and walkout at Amherst College staged on the International Day of Student Action Against the War in the Middle East. Included are photographs of demonstrators holding peace, antiwar, anti-violence, anti-racism, and anti-President George Bush signs; the candlelight vigil site dedicated to Gregory D. Levey; police officers standing guard; and protesters handcuffed and leaving on a school bus. The photographs are taken at various locations including the Main Quadrangle (also known as the first-year quad), South Pleasant Street in front of College Hall and Morgan Hall, Amherst Town Common, and the intersection of Route 9 and Pleasant Street. These photographs were taken by B.G.; it has been determined that B.G. refers to Beth Grace.
