The Amherst College student handbook for the 1999-2000 academic year. Early student handbooks covered subjects like the College Church and Christian Association, college songs and customs, tips for freshmen, student organizations, college history, faculty hours, buildings, athletics, fraternities, college publications, the college calendar, and regional points of interest. Later handbooks provided information on topics like administrative services, academic facilities, student rights and policies, campus life, the academic calendar, Five College cooperation, student government, extracurricular activities, and athletics. In 2009, full handbooks began to be published in an online format while an abbreviated version called the Student Handbook in Brief was published in print format. The abbreviated handbooks included the Honor Code and other regulations and policies. In 2016, the title of the handbook changed to the Student Code of Conduct and publication of the abbreviated version ceased.
