Abstract
A sermon by Edward Hitchcock on the morality and love of God that exists within the United States as a whole. The line "But are there not with you, even with you, sins against the Lord your God?" from 2 Chronicles 28:10 is quoted. Hitchcock posits that people can see clearly a lack of religion and morality in other countries but are blind to the failings within their own country. Hitchcock has written dates and locations of when and where he delivered this sermon between 1820 and 1822 as well as Bible chapters and hymns related to the sermon on the first and last pages.
