Abstract
A sermon by Edward Hitchcock on the concept of what God has a right to do. Hitchcock delves into what rights God has relating to the universe as a whole, as well as his rights as they relate to humans. These include the right to make giving glory to God "the ultimate object of all his works" and the right to give humans free will, among other rights. Samuel 3:18 is quoted. Hitchcock has noted on the first page the dates and locations where he delivered this sermon as well as Bible chapters and hymns related to the sermon.
