Abstract
Chemistry lecture notes by Edward Hitchcock primarily discussing different metals, the compounds that can be made from them, how these compounds are made, and their uses. This includes barium, magnesium, lead, cobalt, and antimony, among others. Examples of experiments that can demonstrate the characteristics of certain metals or their compounds are included throughout. Hitchcock also discusses carbonic and boronic acid and writes for several pages about different theories on combustion. Glass, pottery, and porecelain are also discussed, but in less depth.
