Abstract
A transcription of Emily Dickinson's poem "'Why do I love 'you', Sir?" The transcription is part of the collection of transcriptions of Dickinson's poems produced by Mabel Loomis Todd for publication in a volume edited by her. Most transcriptions are in Todd's own hand; some are typed, and some were transcribed by other individuals. "Miss Graves (Mrs. Houghton)" is written to the right of the transcription in the middle of the page and refers to Harriet Graves Houghton. Other notations are written on the transcript in pencil.
