Abstract
Abby Bates letter to Charlotte Bass Perkins in which Bates writes regarding how much she thinks of Perkins and recalls the time they spent together. She writes of the course Perkins has taken, discussing her usefulness and work. Bates responds to a letter from Perkins and comments on the subject of Missions, the health of several local individuals, and the local revival. Bates also asks Perkins questions regarding her residence and the customs of the people there. She discusses news of several other individuals including sister H, Bell, Laura, and family. Throughout the letter, Bates talks of God and faith in him.
