Abstract
S.H. Calhoun (Simeon H. Calhoun) letter to Justin Perkins in which Calhoun says that he has come to this part of the world on behalf of the American Bible Society. He writes that he will probably be in Smyrna and tells Perkins to let him know if he should need Scriptures for distribution. He writes of the Society's willingness to pay for the translation and publication of the Scriptures where needed, asking questions pertaining to the Nestorian language and Bible needs. Calhoun also notes when he departed from Massachusetts and remarks on what the current state was there before he left, mentioning local interest in the Nestorian Mission.
