Abstract
Charles Hartwell letter to Justin Perkins in which Hartwell responds to a letter from Perkins. He says he is glad they all liked the copy of the tablet he sent and that he would welcome some of "your men" in China, though he fears it will be some time before the Nestorians have so discharged their duties that the Lord will call them to that distant land. Hartwell writes that he will try and get a copy of "the word of their fathers' labors" that they use in China to Boston, though he doubts he can find one. He remarks on Perkins' work and family afflictions and writes regarding his own missionary labors. In closing he shares news regarding Brother J.G.D. Stearns.
