Abstract
J. P. Riach letter to Justin Perkins in which Riach shares that a Goolam who arrived from Tehran this morning brings no further news than the taking of a place or thing written illegibly. He also mentions the arrival of someone young. Riach notes that he has told Grant that Perkins will detail the politics included in this letter "to the gentlemen &, if they can be trusted with such state secrets, to the ladies too." In a postscript, he requests that Perkins send Mr. Southgate's letter to Mr. Merrick and says that Dr. Grant will be able to understand how Mr. McNeill has not replied to Riach's letter about William. On December 22nd he writes a brief additional note of "no further news."
