Abstract
S.D. Stoddard letter to Justin Perkins in which Stoddard responds to letters from Perkins, especially in regards to what he said about the sacred spot in Trebizond (the burial place of Harriette Briggs Stoddard in Trabzon). She writes regarding her and her stepdaughter Sarah's situation, Sarah's eye health and schooling, her Stoddard relations, her brother Allen (Hazen) and his wife's plans to go to India, and her plans to visit Mrs. (Charlotte Bass) Perkins in Somerville. She also gives a brief message for Mr. and Mrs. Cochran. Mentioned in the letter are brother Lewis, Mr. Smith, his wife and her sister Sarah, the Smiths' two children, William Chapin, brother John and his family, Henry (Perkins), Dr. and Mrs. Tyler, and Dr. Eddy.
