Abstract
Photographs of events held on Town of Amherst Day, an Amherst College event celebrating the school's sesquicentennial and the College's relation to the town of Amherst. Students, faculty, administrators, and visitors to the College are among those in images. Photographs were taken in various locations including inside Johnson Chapel, Merrill Science Center, the Pratt Museum of Natural History, and Valentine Hall and outside on Valentine Quad, in front of the Arms Music Center, and near Memorial Field. Individuals are photographed engaging in a variety of activities including taking tours, using scientific equipment, hula-hooping, dining, preparing kites, and sitting on a stage. These photographs are assumed to have been taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications). William Rosser was the College Photographer from January 1972-October 1972.
