Abstract
Volume 4 Number 1 of The Amherst Spectator, a student-run conservative journal published from 1985 to 1994 and from 1997 to 2004 as a new series with the same title. The Spectator was intended to be "a forum for the expression of conservative thought in the areas of politics and culture." Entries varied in form, including articles, editorials, letters to the editor, drawings, comics, cartoons, and in one issue, a crossword puzzle. The editors of this issue were Randall K. Sperling, Todd Herzog, Rocky Midgette, Michael T. Putnam, and V. Sreenath Reddy.
