Abstract | A portion of a letter from G. Hoernle to Justin Perkins in which Hoernle instructs Perkins to send him a letter in English which he will translate to Persian and deliver to the governor. He also writes regarding items Perkins' requested which Hoernle is now sending to him and lists the items and their costs. He remarks on the news of Perkins' son William's good health and shares news regarding the poor health of the Welliyāt (Valiāt). He says that it is reported that Kariman Mirsa gave him poison. In a postscript he says that his "pentograph" (presumably pantograph) is not a good one and recommends Perkins get a good one from his country. |
