Abstract
A letter from a sender with an illegible signature, possibly Meerza Afrasiab, to Justin Perkins in which the sender informs Perkins that everyone must live by their own industry in Tehran and many are engaged in teaching "the boy" in the college. He asks for active correspondence from Perkins. The sender goes on to say that the prince has a number of "turkies," presumably turkeys, and inquires about breeding them. He also informs Perkins that someone with an illegible name has taken revenge on account of the Bab by shooting the King when he was mounting his horse while in Kasri-Kajar. He notes that the shots did not mortally wound him.
