Abstract
William Holt Yates letter to Justin Perkins in which Yates thanks Perkins for his letter and for going to the House at Parsons Green. He discusses politics relating to the massacre at Marash (Maraş, now Kahramanmaraş) and the Turkish, English, French, and Russian governments. He mentions the Euphrates Valley railway and says the Nestorian Patriarch will be rejoiced to have Perkins as their companion on their way home. He discusses the route he supposes Perkins will take and sends regards to several missionary friends. In closing, he writes about looking for "the gathering of the apostate nation to the great and final conflict in the plains of Esdraelon."
