Abstract
E.C.A. Schneider letter to Charlotte Bass Perkins in which Schneider writes regarding her journey to Broosa (Bursa) and situation there. She describes their home and makes several negative remarks regarding the Turkish people. She writes of Sabbath practices and mentions Mr. Powers, Harriet (Powers), Mrs. Stone of the Bombay Mission, Mrs. and Mr. Goodell, and Mrs. Johnson. Schneider also mentions receiving letters from Miss Fisher, Miss Caldwell, and Miss Grant and shares news regarding multiple named former schoolmates (from Ipswich Female Seminary). She goes on to write regarding the fighting times in America between the "Colonizationists & Antis." She also mentions the journey of Adeline White.
