Abstract
A portion of a letter from Ellen Ranyard presumably to Justin Perkins in which Ranyard writes regarding a variety of topics, including her husband's (Benjamin Herbert Ranyard's) health, the influence of Romanism (Catholicism) amongst the higher classes in England and Irish servants in the United States, America's recent purchase of all of Russian America, what she sees as the steps of the Antichrist, her evangelizing amongst the "Romanist" (Catholic) servants in America, the last meeting of the Bible women, the Missing Link Magazine's reach, her contemplation of issuing a large print illustrated 2nd Book & its Story, and Bible women work in England and among the Nestorians. Lady Hope Grant, Mrs. Cole Black, Ellen Harper, Mrs. Shedd, and the Sisters of Mercy are all mentioned in the letter.
