Abstract
A letter to Charles Carroll Carpenter, a missionary in Labrador, in which Edward Hitchcock thanks him for sending an arctic fox pelt for Amherst College's zoological cabinet. Hitchcock requests that Carpenter send a skeleton of a larger animal if possible, such as a narwhal or walrus, and offers to pay for the cost of sending it.
