Abstract
Sermon notes by Edward Hitchcock quoting Malachi 3:10 and discussing the concept of men who do not give the appropriate worship and love to God, and do not do their Christian duty to God. He puts forth some examples of men who delay repentance and proper worship until they have gained certain earthly things, comparing this to the situation at Amherst College where Hitchcock claims one's duty to God tends to be put off until the end of the term. Hitchcock has noted on the final page that he preached this sermon March 2, 1837 at Amherst College.
