Abstract
A letter to Edward Hitchcock, Jr., in which Edward Hitchcock writes about business related to their book, "Elementary Anatomy and Physiology." The elder Hitchcock indicates that his son cannot send him a proof, but regrets that he won't be able to edit the proof sheets, since Hitchcock, Jr. son has little editorial experience and the publishers did a poor job of finding errors in the past. Hitchcock says he will try to write a preface to the book. He also writes briefly about a trip he will soon take and about some business related to a whale skeleton.
