Abstract | A notebook containing a list by Edward Hitchcock of geological specimens collected and taken in July 1839 for his geological survey of Massachusetts. Ninety-one specimens are listed, with numbering beginning at 609 and ending at 700. Most have a brief description of the specimen as well as the location where it was collected. There are two pencil drawings towards the end of the notebook. |
