Abstract
Two pages of sermon by Edward Hitchcock discussing wayward sons, describing ways in which they can "murder" their parents by damaging their spirits. This manuscript is only the first two pages and outlines some of the most egregious immoralities that sons may be guilty of which hurt their parents, such as intemperance, gambling, and going to brothels, among others. The full sermon was later published by the American Tract Society.
