Abstract | A letter from Samuel Riddel on behalf of the American Education Society, informing Hitchcock that he has been selected by the Society's Board of Directors to serve as Chairman of the Examining and Appropriating Committee at Amherst College. The letter announces the appointment of Ebenezer Snell and John Woodbrige to the committee as well. The form letter is accompanied by a personal letter from Samuel Riddel in which he affirms some of the details and tells Hitchcock that he will send him copies of the Society's constitution and rules. |
