Abstract
A letter to Edward Hitchcock from a sender with an illegible signature answering Hitchcock's request for input on Hitchcock's manuscript of "Reminiscences of Amherst College." The correspondent writes that Hitchcock's uncancelled paragraphs do not injure the college in any way, and though there is no clear dissatisfaction with the current administration of the college, it may be suspected from some parts of the manuscript. He also writes that some portions of the manuscript may be better left to be later published by a biographer of Hitchcock than by Hitchcock himself, but notes that overall he finds the work to be favorable.
